Welcome to When We Thrive, my offering to you about everything that happens while we’re thriving in the fight, or at home, or when we’re happy, or when things aren’t going the way we hoped they would…whenever. Because thriving is about how we create the biggest, baddest lives that we want to live FULLY and utilizing ourselves to make real change and help others. Thank you for being a part of this community.
This month, we officially kicked off Thriving in the Fight: In Conversation Across the Country with the Ford Foundation, one of the foremost philanthropic organizations in the country. While there, I spoke with a group of enthusiastic team members who were interested in learning more about how they could be thriving in the fight as activists and leaders in social justice. Let me tell you, Latina leadership is THRIVING.
These types of interactions are what make my work so rewarding. Witnessing the next generation activate and realize their full potential reminds me that the future is in great and highly capable hands.
Thank you again to the Ford Foundation for having me. Where to next? I’m spending time in the Southern states of Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. Are there any people or places I should be sure to see while there? Let me know on Instagram at @whenlatinasthrive!
